Qualcomm has just launched the Snapdragon 768G processor. This chipset is an overclocked version of the existing mid-range cellular System on Chip (SoC).

Reporting from Gizmochina (11/5) Snapdragon 768G brings various improvements to the table compared to its predecessor. This chipset now offers a higher clock boost on Prime Core from 2.4GHz to 2.8GHz.

That along with the Adreno 620 GPU is strengthened, offering up to 15 percent better performance. In particular, the increase in margins is similar to the 20 percent increase in performance of the Snapdragon 765G.

Like its predecessor, the Snapdragon 768G also features an integrated 5G modem, Qualcomm’s 5th generation AI engine, and Qualcomm’s Elite Gaming features as well.

Reportedly, the first Smartphone that will feature this processor is Xiaomi’s Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition. The device will utilize the 5G network, high refresh rate, and 64 megapixel support.

Currently, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G will be placed directly under the flagship SD800 series and will be the top offering in the mid range chipset segment.

That way, it’s likely to be more affordable for many vendors, especially with 5G capabilities being activated and increased battery life. So just wait, because there is a possibility that more affordable smartphones will be launched with Qualcomm’s new processor.
